LIGNA+ 2005, open since May 2, attracts this year over 1.800 exhibitors from the forestry and wood industries. The number of foreign exhibitors surpassed one more time the number of German exhibitors, accentuating the trend begun in the the past decades. All the big-name manufacturers from the woodworking, wood-processing and forestry sectors have met under one roof to present their latest technologies and products. The total exhibition space is 128.877 m2.
The range of exhibits at the fair covers timber harvesting and hauling, machinery, equipment, tools and accessories for the forestry industry, mobile sawmills, logistics and storage systems and even heating with wood.
The number of visitors is expected to reach 100.000, the majority coming from Germany.
