Finland - tax reductions on timber sales

The Finnish Government has announced today that timber sales from April 2008 to the end of year 2009 will be 50% tax free. In 2010 the tax free share of timber sales will be 25%. The Government aims to boost domestic timber sales.
The tax reduction is a reaction Russias export duties on roundwood. The reduction has to be approved by the parlament.
