Hardwood lumber - Holzwerke Rasselstein goes into receivership
30/06/2009 - 16:52
Holzwerke Rasselstein (HWR) was declared insolvent by the Neuwied court (Germany) on the 16th of June, 2009. Lawyer Jens Lieser from Koblenz was appointed to run the importer and exporter of hardwood lumber, edge glued panels and furniture squares during its temporary receivership.
According to company’s homepage, HWR was supplied with hardwood lumber by sawmills from Germany, Poland, Romania, Bosnia and Serbia. The former hardwood sawmill operated its own yard with drying kilns and sorting lines in Northern Italy.
Due to the company’s strong international connections, the hardwood lumber market will likely be affected.
