The German producer price indices for oak again showed a heterogeneous course in April 2022. On average, the index value for log wood virtually stagnated at -0.1% to 127.2 points. A quality fell by 1.2% month-on-month to 95.2 points. B quality recorded a minus of 2% to 130.7 points. 3 m lengths decreased by 0.7% to 125.2 points, while 5 m lengths fell by 1.6% to 150.8 points.
C ranges increased by 1.1% to 135.6 points. 3 m lengths contributed to this with an increase of 4.4% to 140.1 points. 5 m lengths decreased by 1.2% to 136.7 points.
Year-on-year the index for oak logs increased by 10.9% - that for A-quality by 8.3%. B grade was up 15.2% year-on-year with a 9.1% increase in 3m lengths and 26.1% in 5m lengths. C ranges increased by 9.7% and industrial grade gained 13.7%.
