The Ziegler Holding GmbH filed for insolvency at the Weiden District Court on November 20, 2024. The preliminary insolvency administrator, Nuremberg-based attorney Volker Böhm, is already at the company’s headquarters in Plößberg to assess available restructuring options and implement appropriate measures.

Böhm believes there is a good chance to reorganize the group through the insolvency process. Efforts are being made to preserve as many jobs as possible, and operations are expected to continue to the fullest extent possible during the proceedings.

The Ziegler Group explained that the insolvency was primarily driven by its aggressive growth strategy in recent years, which included several acquisitions. However, the group was severely impacted during this expansion phase by the collapse of the construction industry, a consequence of the war in Ukraine.
