Description of Siberian larch for decking:
Siberian larch is one of the most valuable and durable species among coniferous wood species. Its resin repels water as a natural impregnation and protects wood from fungal attack. Due to slow growth in cold regions, Siberian larch is harder than European larch. Larch is particularly sensitive to iron, and to prevent rust, we recommend fasteners made of stainless steel only. Wood density: approx. 650 kg / m3 Artificially dried to: 16-18% Recommended expansion joints between boards during installation: 5 - 7 mm Processing variant 1: 28 x 120 mm - view side = smooth 28 x 145 mm - visible side = smooth Processing variant 2: 27 x 145 mm - view side = fine groove 27 x 145 mm - view side = reeded groove |
